Archaeology Matters: Student research in partnership with community groups

Each year our second year undergraduates team up with community groups to undertake research projects on aspects of Sheffield’s heritage, as part of our Archaeology Matters module. This year, the Archaeology Matters students were tasked by the Friends of Sheffield Castle to come up with an excavation strategy for the site of Sheffield Castle (formerly the Castle Market which was closed in 2013).
